English nouns with qualifiers or classifiers

We don't say "*a corn" in English. We do say "an ear of corn".
Different languages use different qualifiers, or metaphors. French says "pain de savon" for "bar of soap". Spanish says "pastilla de jabon."
We will add to these as we encounter more.

a bar of soap. French: pain de savon.
a bolt of lightning. French: coup de tonnerre.
a bottle of milk
a breath of air
a bunch of grapes
a burst of energy
a cake of soap. French: pain de savon.
a candy bar.
a clove of garlic. Spanish says diente de ajo. French says tête d'ail or gousse d'ail, Italian says spicchio d'aglio.
