After spending one year in Brazil teaching English as a second language, she was able to go back and forth easily between Continental Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese.

since she has mastered several. She spent four years teaching English as a second language to refugee students in the New Haven school system.
She taught English to employees in Japan, for three years.
Her warm and cheerful personality will rapidly help you overcome the obstacles inherent in the English language.
R.A. ESL teacher, has worked with ESL students of all ages as a tutor,
both in California and in Connecticut – recently in Windsor, CT for 3 years as
a middle school ESL and language arts tutor. She has also worked with
adults as an adult school teacher, and as an American English Pronunciation
teacher in California in the past. She has an M.A. in linguistics, and taught
phonetics as an intern to small groups of university students one summer.
She has cross-cultural experience, among other things, living and working in
Indonesia for four years as a Bible translator and linguist in the past, as
well. She loves to help students learn and/or improve their English and
American English pronunciation!

She likes to spend time outside with her kids, goes for hikes, bike rides,

One of her big hobbies besides gardening and her kids,
